POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform quality control review and testing for construction projects.
Field observation, testing and sampling of construction materials (soils, concrete, masonry, SFRM, structural and light gage steel, and timber construction for conformance with contract documents.
Write field reports documenting work performed confirming compliance status with contract documents.
Recordkeeping and maintenance of testing equipment.
Additional tasks may include laboratory testing of soils and concrete.
Applicable ICC Certifications in at least one of the following categories: Soils, Reinforced Concrete, Masonry, Spray-Applied Fire Proofing, Structural Steel.
Minimum of 3 years construction experience in the review and testing of soils, masonry, concrete and/or asphalt.
Ability to read and interpret plans and directions.
Good written and verbal communication skills
Possess the physical strength and stamina to repeatedly lift and move up to 50 pounds as well as climb, bend, and stoop for extended periods and in varying weather conditions.
Ability to work nights and weekends, as required.
Some overnight travel may be required.
Valid driver's license and clear driving record.
