Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System Physical Therapist - PRN - Mary Black in Spartanburg, South Carolina
The Physical Therapist evaluates and treats patients by referral. He/she plans treatment programs and performs therapy to restore function, prevent disability, and maximize the potential and quality of life following disease, injury or surgery. He/she may delegate patients to PTAs and performs re-evaluations and supervisory visits per state practice act. He/she appropriately modifies treatment plans and procedures and uses appropriate communication techniques to achieve optimal results. He/she may supervise PTAs, Rehab Techs, and students. He/she participates in community presentations, staff education, and other departmental activities as requested by the supervisor, manager or director.
Our 207 bed, acute care hospital offers a wide range of services and is part of an organization with 6 acute care facilities, over 9,000 team members and 400 volunteers. Mary Black has a CARF Accredited Inpatient Rehab unit is ranked in the top 10% of Rehabs in the US. It has 18 beds and works with hip fractures, amputations, Parkinson’s, MS, multi-trauma, pelvic fractures, stroke cases, etc. Our average patient length of stay is 11/12 days and our unit utilizes latest technology such as Omnicell, Epic, and Mindray (for vitals), allowing our team to provide the best care possible to our patients. We have a phenomenal staff and have truly worked hard to build the kind of team that we have put together. Everyone works as a team and that’s why the right person is so important. We can teach skills but to be part of the team is #1 priority.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited physical therapist education program
License/Registration/Certifications
SC PT License
CPR-AHA BLS
Preferred Education
- MS/DPT from an accredited physical therapist education program
Preferred Experience
- Five (5) years’ experience in relevant practice area
