Kaiser Permanente Director of Value Management, Digital Experience Center in Pasadena, California

The Director of Value Management is a strategic, newly defined area of KP Digital. The Value Management and Planning Team is responsible for the following:

  • Executive Governance Support: Provide KP Digital Governance, Product and Stakeholders executive performance assessment to support decision of planning, prioritization and allocation.

  • Performance Review: As the trusted advisor, work with Executives and Associate Medical Director to set regional performance digital targets, facilitate regular business reviews, and drive action plans to realize higher levels of value.

  • Value Management: Work with Product, Digital Analytics and Operational Partners to define, develop, and implement the value dashboard.

  • Valuation of Opportunities: Collaborate with Finance to create models to quantify the economic opportunity supporting Product Planning. Assess actual benefits realization and digital contribution based on digital adoption.

Essential Functions:

  • Works with director to develop scope of work for team, sequencing, defining value proposition, setting strategic and business direction, context & priorities for the team.

  • Provides oversight, coaching & guidance to management-level staff.

  • Partners with Director and peer Health Plan Leadership to interpret, analyze and address key business issues and questions.

  • Provide operational management: be accountable for budgets and resource viability of area of responsibility.

  • Recommend organization/business performance metrics and act when needed.

  • Review and recommend policies to achieve customer and KP goals.

Basic Qualifications:

Experience

  • Minimum ten (10) years of content/functional experience.

  • Minimum three (3) years of management experience.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, statistics, or related required.

License, Certification, Registration

  • N/A

Additional Requirements:

  • Advanced knowledge (broad expertise or unique knowledge) of policies, practices and systems.

  • Develops advanced concepts, techniques, and standards.

  • Develops new applications based on professional principles and theories.

  • Viewed as functional expert in field within KP.

  • Applies advanced principles, theories, and concepts.

  • Contributes to the development of innovative principles and ideas.

  • Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Twelve (12) years of content/functional experience preferred.

  • Five (5) years of management experience preferred.

  • Master's degree preferred.

  • Health care industry preferred.

  • Digital technology preferred.

  • Finance planning & modeling is preferred.

  • Data science and analysis experience is preferred.

  • Experience with Analytics and business information reporting is preferred.
