Critical Care EMS Instructor Job ID:55540 Department:Emergency Medical Services City:Oakdale, MN Location:RH - Oakdale EMS Offices Position Type:On Call Anticipated Work Schedule:M- F 8am- 10 pm Shift:Day/Evening Hrs/Pay Period:0 POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT: The Critical Care EMS Instructor is responsible for instructing various "merit" badge EMS courses depending on certification including; ACLS, PALS, TNCC and ENPC. The Critical Care EMS Instructor will interact with pre-hospital providers (EMT-paramedics) as well as in-hospital providers (physicians, residents, nurses, other allied health, etc.). This Critical Care EMS Instructor will act as the primary contact for the TNCC and ENPC course as well as work with the Critical Care Education Specialist in the development, preparation, and delivery of all critical care courses offered. The Critical Care EMS Instructor will assist the Specialist as needed with the development and delivery of education. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Associates or Bachelor degree EMT-P, RN, PA-C, or NP Experience: Minimum three years of experience in educational field Minimum two years of formal teaching experience in EMS or Nursing related courses Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Working knowledge of critical care medicine including Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) Certification level at the level or above the level of teaching Ability to communicate in person, in writing and by telephone Aptitude to establish working relationships with the public, our medical direction customers and employees Maintenance of professionalism and a standard of excellence with Regions employees, managers, customers and public Competency to work independently, with autonomy and to meet deadlines Keen sense of organization and prioritization Ability to lift up to 30 pounds at a time Ability to do some travel Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Access and Adobe Acrobat software Licensure/Registration/ Certification: Current certification/licensure in applicable field (MN RN, EMT-P, PA-C, NP) Minimally a certified provider in ACLS, PALS, TNCC, or ENPC Instructor for ACLS and PALS Preferred: Instructor for TNCC and ENPC At Regions Hospital you'll find a warm, diverse group of people who are committed to helping our patients - and each other.
