Answer incoming phone calls from health care providers (i.e. physician offices, clinics) and identify the type of assistance the provider needs (EG. benefit and eligibility, billing and payments, authorizations for treatment, explanation of benefits)
Focus on resolving issues on the first call, navigating through complex computer systems to identify the status of the issue and provide appropriate response to caller
Deliver information and answer questions in a positive manner to facilitate strong relationships with providers and their staff
Complete the documentation necessary to track provider issues and facilitate the reporting of overall trends
The pace is fast and you'll need to be comfortable managing multiple priorities. You may be required to work in multiple locations, so scheduling flexibility is essential. You must also be able to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations.

High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience
1+ years of customer service experience
Familiarity with computer and Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications
Demonstrated ability to listen skillfully, collect relevant information, build rapport and respond to customers in a compassionate manner
Skilled in problem solving to quickly assess current state and formulate recommendations
Knowledgeable in medical equipment
Must be bilingual in Spanish and English
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products including Excel, Outlook, and Word
You will be asked to performthis role in an office setting or other company location.
Employees are required toscreen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive VoiceResponse (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similarUnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener prior to entering the worksite each day, in order to keep our work sites safe. Employees must complywith any state and local masking orders. In addition, when in aUnitedHealth Group building, employees are expected to wear a mask inareas where physical distancing cannot be attained.
1+ year of experience in a related environment (i.e. office, administrative, clerical, customer service, etc.) using phones and computers as the primary job tools
