Oracle Creative Director, Advertising in Matawan, New Jersey

Manage a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a director of the software engineering division, you will apply your extensive knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and envision future improvements to the architecture.

Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.

This is a remote/office based position which may be performed anywhere in the United States except for within the state of Colorado.

Creative Director, Advertising

Oracle is seeking an experienced advertising creative director with an art direction and design background to join our in-house creative team. This individual will partner with other creative directors, copywriters, designers, and marketers to create advertising for the Oracle brand and products.We have studios in the SF Bay Area, Seattle, and Guadalajara, Mexico. Core responsibilities:

  • Omnichannel advertising and content creation and production for digital, video, social, website, events, and more.

  • Strategic guidance on projects, including working with a variety of internal creative briefing inputs. You’ll ask questions and synthesize marketing and strategic inputs into creative direction.

  • Constantly on the hunt for opportunities to proactively pitch stories and ideas to decision makers.

  • Partnership with copywriters, designers, strategists, project managers, marketers, and executives across Oracle.

  • Follow the Oracle brand guidelines while adding your expertise to the constant evolution and development of the brand.

Basic qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in art & design and/or completion of a secondary advertising portfolio program.

  • 10 years as a creative in ad agencies plus in-house agency experience.

  • An award-winning portfolio of work on a variety of brands. Tech and B2B experience is a plus.

  • Experience building and leading creative teams.

  • Ability to create advertising that makes the complex simple, memorable, and emotionally relevant.

  • Skilled at presenting to senior-level stakeholders, explaining creative decisions, taking direction and feedback, and quick to apply changes.

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and able to manage multiple priorities.

  • Self-driven and able to be both strategic and execution-oriented.
