Assistant Brand Manager, Innovation
This role will be primarily remote; eligible candidates will work out of their home office on the East Coast and have the ability to travel to the company headquarters in Manchester NH on a quarterly basis as needed.

PRIMARY PURPOSE AND FUNCTIONS:
This role is responsible for guiding end-to-end innovation initiatives, including: ideation, exploratory research, scoping and development. As a cross-functional liaison, this person encourages collaboration to optimize the evaluation of concepts for feasibility, viability and desirability and uses this collaboration to execute product development. The ideal candidate is culturally curious, with a blend of creative and analytical capabilities. A passion for health and wellness is ideal.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead cross-functional innovation project teams to commercialize products, providing direction, delivering against key project milestones, communicating within the project team and presenting the project to leadership
Develop opportunity analysis, comprised of cultural trends, competitive analysis, channel strategies, size of opportunity, as well as velocity and price benchmarks
Analyze sales data and trends to scope opportunities and determine potential new product size of prize
Partner with R&D and Regulatory to create and assess potential product claims
Manage supply chain and procurement needs
Coordinate with Sales to develop forecast projections and work with Finance to develop pricing and P&L scenarios
Collaborate with Brand Management on packaging design, packaging copy, marketing materials, marketing support plans and sell-in materials
Identify industry trends and develop ways to keep the company informed of category and consumer insights
Track new item in-market performance against key launch targets (KPIs)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
5 years of experience in marketing, brand management or innovation, undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience with analyzing syndicated retail data (Spins, Nielsen, or IRI) and new product forecasting
Ability to see the big picture as well as manage the details
Must understand a P&L and key cost drivers as part of innovation
Must have excellent organizational and project management skills
Experience with the Stage Gate process and how it can be used for maximum efficiency
Self-starter with the ability to ?think like an owner" and a bias for action
Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams to impact decision-making; willingness to ?have an opinion? backed up by insight, and the confidence to influence key stakeholders in meetings and one to one basis
