Job Description

The Technical Audio Manager will be responsible for technically supporting post-production audio and video services in a theatrical and home video environment. Primary responsibilities include the areas of production IT, audio, video, DC projection, room setup and maintenance. Candidate must have expertise in both digital cinema and post production audio infrastructures. This includes planning for, budgeting, setting up, installing and maintaining audio and video workstations to make rooms functional according to technical requirements, specifications, and user needs. Candidate must have a strong understanding, efficiency, and skillset in DCI projection, CP850s, media servers, Avid Pro Tools, Dolby Atmos Applications, Audio Architect, Dante, AES67, AES3, BluLink, microphones, preamps, Avid consoles, and large format immersive speaker systems. Experience is required in working with all common audio formats, sample rates, video frame rates, and traditional immersive multi-channel audio configurations. The individual will also be responsible for basic and advanced room and system setups for digital cinema projection and audio post production. The candidate will be responsible creating and managing technical process and procedures. Attention to detail and a perfectionist mind-set is paramount in this role.

Requirements

Bachelor degree or equivalent trade specific education

10+ years in audio post-production projects for music, film and tv Excellent Pro Tools operational skills, including the use of video Excellent technical skills with troubleshooting and signal flow Excellent understanding of audio over IP Excellent communication skills in person, over phone, and email Deep sense of urgency and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with self-direction Problem solver with creative and innovative approach and ability to think out of the box Outstanding attention to detail

Preferred

Strong skills with Mac OS and Microsoft Office Suite Familiarity with other media applications such as Adobe Suite and Final Cut Pro
