This position is responsible for the development and compliance of all regulated materials and external communications within all states where PacificSource operates meeting applicable Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and State requirements for the Medicare and Medicaid business lines. This includes development of regulatory communication materials such as letters, notices, handbooks, directories, formularies, brochures, forms, website content, and required newsletter content for members and providers.&br& n&br& n&b&Essential Responsibilities:&/b& n&br& n&ul& n&li&Write, edit, format and proof letters, notices, handbooks, directories, formularies, brochures, forms, website content, and required newsletter content for members and providers.&ul& n&li&Ensure compliance with all CMS and OHA guidelines for marketing and communication to member and providers.&/li& n&li&Ensure communications are developed, formatted, and verbiage is tailored to meet reading level requirements in accordance with state and Federal guidelines.&/li& n&li&Accurately interpret and reflect technical and regulatory components of product and services. Collaborate closely with Product Development and Compliance.&/li&&/ul&&/li& n&li&Coordinate thorough Quality Assurance processes through high collaboration with business owners and cross functional teams and the use of Workfront software. Ensure version control through all rounds. Review, interpret, and ensure communications accurately reflect benefits, services, processes, regulatory requirements, health literacy levels, readability levels, and internal policies.&/li& n&li&Execute the development of culturally competent communications, assuring collateral and outreach efforts are tailored to cultural, health literacy, and linguistic needs. Develop documents with a customer focus and an understanding of the audience and their needs across lines of business and regions. Collaborate with translators to ensure materials are written in the primary language for the audience.&/li& n&li&Maintain thorough and up to date knowledge of Internal Processes and Policies for departments to accurately reflect department's policies in materials Federal and State regulations. Research internal department processes and policies regulatory requirements and regulations, interpret guidance as it pertains to material content and development, and provide recommendations as appropriate.&/li& n&li&Maintain 100% benefit accuracy in materials and compliance with OHA and CMS guidelines to produce error-free materials. Collaborate with internal departments as well as state and Federal reviewers to ensure materials are approved for use. Edit and review updates including verbiage, forms, documents and other materials in a timely manner to ensure accuracy and compliance.&/li& n&li&Ensure consis ency in tone and application of the corporate style guide for applicable audiences.&/li& n&li&Perform website content maintenance.&/li&&/ul& n&br& n&br& n&b&Supporting Responsibilities&/b&:&br& n&ul& n&li&Meet department and company performance and attendance expectations.&/li& n&li&Follow the PacificSource privacy policy and HIPAA laws and regulations concerning confidentiality and security of protected health information.&/li& n&li&Perform other duties as assigned.&/li&&/ul& n&br& n&br& n&b&Work Experience: &/b&Minimum of three years industry experience in communications, or compliance role, preferably in healthcare insurance environment. Medicare and/or Medicaid experience and knowledge of State and Federal regulatory standards is strongly preferred.&br& n&br& n&b&Education, Certificates, Licenses: &/b&Associates degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related degree required; or an equivalent combination of education and applicable experience is required. Project management certification is desired.&br& n&br& n&b&Knowledge: &/b&Accuracy of all information published, printed, or otherwise distributed. Strong organizational skills. Must be self-motivated and able to work both independently and as a team member. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
