Functional SW Engineer Regulation of Electrical Machines (m/f/diverse)



Job Description

In your role you are responsible for coordinating and developing embedded software to control electrical machines of hybrid and electric vehicles. The following tasks will be in your area of responsibility:

  • Coordination of customer requests for the functional software of electrical machines

  • Conception and drafting of suitable test cases

  • Coordination, planning and monitoring of development topics in collaboration with the responsible Continental technical units worldwide

  • Integration, testing, calibration and configuration of the functional software in the laboratory, test stand and test vehicles

  • Analysis and evaluation of results regarding target achievement and suitability for serial production

  • Launch management and troubleshooting Job Requirements

  • Degree in automotive engineering, electrical engineering or similar

  • Several years of work experience in function development and closed loop control for electrical machines, typically including permanent magnet, reluctance and induction machine types

  • Understanding and experience of all mechanical aspects that influence the design of rotating electrical machines

  • Experience in embedded software development (programming language C) and model based development for automotive ECUs (Matlab/Simulink), in line with ASPICE and ISO 26262

  • Fluent German and English language skills (written and spoken)

  • Strong analytical skills with ability to solve complex technical problems

  • Strong communication and teamworking skills
