Upper Chesapeake Health Infection Preventionist in Bel Air, Maryland
Under general supervision, supports the department director in the identification, compilation, analysis and report of healthcare associated infections and infectious diseases for both system hospitals. Acts as a resource to hospital team for infection control.
Education & Training: A BS Degree in Nursing or health related field is preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current RN license in the state of Maryland preferred. Certification in Infection Control through CBIC preferred.
Work Orientation & Experience: Three years of clinical and/or supervisory experience with a minimum of two years experience in infection control. Knowledge of principles relating to epidemiology, statistics, microbiology, aseptic technique and adult learning. Teaching experience preferred.
