What you’ll be doing...
You’ll uncover and create actionable insights to drive our strategies, business decisions and overall competitive advantage. The work you do will inspire us to bring the best solutions to both the business and consumer market—because of our enhanced understanding of their needs. You will design research, gathering primary and secondary research, managing our vendor partners, and ensuring that we get the best market insights to drive our decision making. By helping us understand and anticipate customer needs, you’ll be shaping what’s next for us.
Identifying appropriate methodologies to address business questions.
Leading design of research programs to yield actionable insights.
Synthesizing information from various sources into meaningful insights.
Establishing relationships with business partners.
Managing research agency partners and research projects from scoping to delivery.
Creating process improvements to enhance CMI capability.
Crafting and presenting actionable recommendations to business partners.
What we’re looking for...
You are fascinated by digging into lots of data and you know its real value is in the insights it provides. You have a consulting approach to really understand research needs and are able to create the right research solution. People trust and value your opinion. You’re able to translate data into narratives, and tailor your presentation and recommendations to the audience function and level to meet their needs. But you’re not just about the numbers—you have a business mindset that makes your recommendations sound and practical.
You'll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Four or more years of relevant work experience executing primary research and leveraging secondary data.
Knowledge of primary research methodologies including qualitative techniques and quantitative approaches and analytics.
Experience with PowerPoint, Excel and SPSS.
Experience pulling, manipulating and tabulating data.
Experience applying solutions to complex problems and seek and analyze data and information to solve a business information problem.
Even better if you have:
Ability to formulate and present actionable insights.
Experience with Verizon business units and marketing organizations.
Knowledge of marketing departments, teamwork in a cross-functional and/or matrix organization and/or national/regional structure.
Knowledge and use of advertising and brand tracking, business KPI metrics.
Project Management Skills: ability to independently lead multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
